Prague Castle

In-depth private tour of Prague Castle

Our tour starts with a meeting at the agreed place (metro station A "Malostranská", green line A), from where we will take a tram together to one of the three possible entrances to the castle grounds. First, we will walk through the first two courtyards and briefly get acquainted with the history and the most important facts, because Prague Castle is inseparably linked with the history of the whole country.

We will gradually go together to all the areas that Prague Castle offers to visitors (except for the permanent exhibitions and picture galleries, which can be visited separately). Entrance ticket is included in the total price of the tour.

Meeting point

Outside of metro line A, station “Malostranská” – there is only one exit from the station. When you get out of the station, there is a pillar clearly marked with a sign “Meeting point”. I will be holding a sign with the lead customers name. Check the map

Tour description

St. Vitus Cathedral

1. We will start in St. Vitus Cathedral, a late Gothic pearl that was the coronation and final resting place of many Czech rulers. It is also the place where the body of the eponymous patron saint and protector of the Czech land rests in the magnificent Chapel of St. Wenceslas.

Old Royal Palace

2. We will then see the cathedral from the outside, during a walk through the third castle courtyard, from where we will head to the Old Royal Palace. It is the residence of the rulers, a representative space, as well as the seat of the court office, and the scene of many historical moments.

St. George's Basilica

3. From the palace we will head to St. George's Basilica, one of the oldest preserved monuments in Prague. In contrast to the splendour and ornateness of the late Gothic cathedral, here we will discover the world of the early Middle Ages and learn about the legends associated with the patrons of the Czech land.

Golden Lane

4. The last stop will be the so-called Golden Lane, which is unique in its picturesque character and shrouded in many legends. From the alley around the Daliborka tower we will reach the foot of the old castle stairs, where the tour ends.
