Vyšehrad fortress

Visit the ancient fortress Vyšehrad, which towers over the Vltava River and offers an amazing trip back in time, as well as beautiful views of Prague and its counterpart across the river, the Prague Castle.

The private tour finishes at the entrance to the Vyšehrad underground, where it is possible to visit the catacombs and the room called Gorlice with the original sculptures from the famous Charles Bridge (entry is possible for a fee, not included in the price of this tour). The tour of Gorlice can be taken only with a local guide.

Meeting point

The meeting is at the exit of the metro station Vyšehrad - red line C. At the exit in the direction of the city centre there is a restaurant Yam Yam, in front of which the guide will be waiting and holding a sign with the lead customers name.

After entering the grounds of the former fortress, we walk through the park to one of the oldest Romanesque buildings in Prague. 

You will learn about the importance of this place in Czech history, walk the walls of the fortress and visit the majestic Basilica of Peter and Paul. 

During our trip we will also discover the final resting place of famous Czech personalities, (some of whom you may know) in the Slavín cemetery.  

Finally, at the end we´ll go to a beautiful viewpoint from where you can see Prague from a different angle, with Prague Castle in the distance.
